Rietz Consultants worked with Premium Standard Foods to design a new pork processing plant in Milan, Missouri. This fast track project was conceived and constructed in just eleven months. The 366,000 square foot facility includes receiving, slaughter, fabrication, coolers, freezers and distribution. The welfare area at the front of the site houses the business offices and staff areas, and provides a welcoming image for the massive plant behind. The simple façade of the building exterior masks the complexity of the processes within.
