Rietz Consultants, Ltd. has completed a number of exterior restoration projects, including Iowa State University’s Campanile. For each project of this type we carefully evaluate and document of the building’s deterioration. The restoration contractor is provided with detailed drawings indicating the specific restoration method applicable to each building component. The restoration of this project included brick, stone, and terracotta replication and replacement, cutting and pointing, epoxy injection, and waterproofing. This project also included new steel framing to stabilize the deteriorated belfry arches, new roof structure, and a new copper roof.
